The Gift of Learning

Teaching should be such that what is offered is perceived as a valuable gift and not as a hard duty~Einstein

More often than not we begin school with the realization that everyone has attend—it’s your duty and expected. Everyone goes to school because they are forced to go by law and by parents. Instead, we need to entice children and adults to want to learn and see schools as advocates of that process. We need the child to feel that going to school is a valuable gift, and that by attending they will learn to figure out how life and living works, they’ll get some “how-to” guidelines on learning about themselves and their lives as well as their relationship to all of humanity. They will receive instruction on the basic 3 R’s with some context to their personal lives. They will develop not only the knowledge needed for a vocation, but also basic living skills like parenting, money management, diet and exercise, just to name a few. We need to first and foremost create a passion for learning and an attitude that to receive an education is the most enjoyable and rewarding experience of life.  And then,  Make-it-so.
