What We Have Made

It is a painful thing—to look at your own trouble and know—that you yourself and no one else has made it~Sophocles

Shocking! That’s what this reality is. Imagine, no one else has made this problem, no sir—this problem is something you created by yourself—for yourself, to understand some lesson you have not learned. The pain of it is almost too much to bear, after all, why would I do such a thing to myself?

The lesson to learn begins with taking responsibility and accountability for our personal actions and choices. These lessons, more than any other, earmark your transition into adulthood and maturity. It is the painful, and yet liberating realization, that it’s your life to manage, whether you want to or not. You may seek advice from others, but in the end it is your call to accept or reject it, your decision, and your choice to make. In the end, our life is always a representation of the choices we make, or avoid making, which is just another form of making a choice.
